If you enjoy the outdoors like I do you will spend hours in one of the 3 parks. My favorite is located just off the square offering 33-acres with amenities such as soccer and baseball fields, sand volleyball courts and disc golf. There is also a walking/jogging trail that winds through the park and passes by a creek bed which hosts a newly discovered set of dinosaur tracks. This park also offers a playground.
Springtown library, located near the square offers services to both locally and county wide residents.
Many civic organizations are available for you to become actively involved such as the Lions’ Club and local Optimist Club. There are also numerous volunteer opportunities in the area including but not limited to Neighbor to Neighbors, Center of Hope, the Manna House, and Stars and Strides Stables, a therapeutic riding center for children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.
Stop by the Springtown Legends Museum which captures Springtown’s rich heritage and community spirit that is still the driving force which makes Springtown one of the the best places to be in Parker County. Our nostalgic historic square is centered on a State of Texas recognized historic site that includes a carefully preserved open air Tabernacle which adds to the ambiance of many of our town events, such as our annual Christmas on the Square during the holidays. Other events include is our annual Wild West Festival where over 200 vendors arrive with their goods. Arrive early to get your spot to watch the parade and of course enjoy local western-style showdowns.
Springtown ISD is classified 4A and provides educational services to students at its six campuses.
